A warm welcome is important. So we planned a visit to the Apollon Municipal Theatre, where we will
enjoy a performaNce of Greek music, preceded by a standing cocktail.
You will first be picked up from your hotels at 17:00, to be taken to the Conference Centre in order
to get yourself registered and receive your conference badge*.
After spending about an hour at the Conference Centre, you will be transferred to the Patras city centre
at the Apollo Municipal Theater. Arriving at the Theatre at 19:00, we will have an hour to enjoy traditional
Greek snacks "mezedes" and drinks, after which welcoming speeches will be made by the Conference Chair, the
representative of the Ministry of Environment, the Prefecture and the Mayor of Patras. At 20:30 enjoy the
amazing Patras orchestra and let them on an enchanting musical adventure.

Works of the following Greek composers will be performed:
Nikos Scalcotas, Mikis Theodorakis, Manos Hatjidakis, Yianis Konstandinidis, and Nikos Kypourgos.

"Apollo" Municipal Theatre
"Apollo" Municipal Theatre is located on King George I Square and is considered as the most impressive
architectural ornament of Patras, while it is one of the first opera theatres in Europe. It was built on
1872 according to the designs of the German architect Ernst Ziller, with the financial contribution of
Patras' merchants.
At 21:10 after what we hope will be a warm welcome for all, you shall depart Apollo Municipal Theatre,
to be taken back to the conference hotels.
