Objective
|
|
The Conference goal is to bring together representatives from academic institutions,
industry and public organizations with the aim of collecting, exchanging and promoting
the Valorisation of Waste (municipal, industrial, agricultural, construction
and demolition) to Energy (ethanol, hydrogen, biogas, biofuel, RDF, pyrolysis
products,...) and Materials (raw, secondary and recycled materials).

Themes

The Conference concerns the valorization of waste from:
|
Physical and chemical processes, such as volume reduction, mechanical or chemical
separation and chemical conversion
|
 |
Thermal processes, such as pyrolysis, gasification, calcinations and incineration |
 |
Biological processes such as anaerobic digestion, fermentation and composting |
In addition it concerns recycling of materials such as solvents, organics, polymers, glass,
metals, zeolites, adsorbents, slugs, as well as construction and demolition waste.
The following key issues will be also addressed:

Economical, environmental and social assessment of processes and products through
techniques such as life cycle assessment, risk assessment, health and safety impact
assessment.

Waste management issues such as decision making, legislation, education |
Pilot-plant and full-scale experiences are particularly welcome.
